Description of Cusco City Tour
The Cusco city tour is great for newcomers to Cusco or those wanting to get to know the Inca city better. We start at our Cusco office at 1:00 pm and walk for 10 minutes to Koricancha. Our guide will tell you about this place, where Inca and colonial art meet.
Then, we take a bus to see Sacsayhuaman’s amazing Inca stones, even more stunning than Machu Picchu. You’ll be amazed at how these stones were placed so perfectly.
Next, we visit Qenqo’s caves, where Incas made sacrifices to their gods, possibly even human sacrifices. We then go to Pucapucara, a red fortress used by the Incas for defense.
Our last stop is Tambomachay, a peaceful place with water sources where the Inca king relaxed. We return to Cusco around 6:00 pm.
